Wanted: Licensed Truck & Trailer Technicians
As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and operating standards of our equipment are upheld to the CARMEN CARES™ standard. This includes performing repairs and maintenance on our own fleet as well as third-party equipment.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and upkeep.
- A 310T Certificate or substantial progress towards one through a formal apprenticeship program.
- Knowledge of local and federal truck and trailer safety standards, compliance requirements, as well as Carmen Transportation’s workplace safety standards and WSIB requirements.

When you first join the Carmen team, you’ll go through 2-3 days of paid training and orientation. During this time, you’ll become familiar with the team, our policies, compensation packages – all the ins and outs of driving for Carmen Transportation. There will also be comprehensive Telematics, Health & Safety, Customs & Security, Emergency Protocol training—and much more.
Our commitment to your safety is ongoing because CARMEN CARES™. In addition to online monthly training assignments, our designated safety personnel will check in after weeks 1, 4 and 8 to make certain you’re comfortable in your position and have all the required equipment and knowledge to continue a safe and successful career at Carmen.
